जब सन् २०१२ को नोभेम्बर १५ मा चिनियाँ कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी (सीपीसी) को १८ औं महाधिवेशनले सी चिनफिङलाई महासचिवको नेतृत्व सुम्पियो र सन् २०१३ को मार्च १४ मा राष्ट्रपति भए । त्यसपछि चिनियाँ शैलीमा फरकपन आउन थाल्यो । चीन एकाएक प्रभावकारी मुलुकको रुपमा देखा पर्न थाल्यो । सीले आफू सत्तामा आउने बित्तिकै बेल्ट एन्ड रोड इनिसिएटिभ (बीआरआई) परियोजना (त्यस बेला वान बेल्ट वान रोड) लाई अघि ल्याएर आफ्नो महत्वाकांक्षालाई अघि सारे ।
